The Shoulder-Gard Rifle Rest is a recoil reducing rest. With the growing popularity of magnum caliber rifles, heavy recoil can be a real pain. To address this issue, MTM has made a 4-point, flexible base, shooting rest designed to ease the shoulder punishment of sighting-in powerful magnum rifles. The front shooting pad is specially design to fit standard hunting rifles to $3000 custom bench rest rifles and ARs. With MTM's pad, you do not have to remove the swivel screws to use the rest, like you have to do with other brands. The rest has been designed to flex in the middle of the base to sit flat on any surface with the addition of a little weight.By utilizing the integrated recoil-reduction sling, shooters are able to relax and shoot more comfortably, knowing that less recoil from the gun is going to be felt. The recoil reduction sling does not have to be used with lighter caliber rifles.
