The XD(M) Compact features loaded chamber and striker status indicators (visual and tactile), protection from accidental discharge with the Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) trigger system, a grip safety, slip-resistant slide serrations, Melonite or stainless finish, a match-grade barrel, a maximum-reach magazine release, and a minimal-reset trigger. Interchangeable backstraps are included for grip customization, and Magazine X-Tensions are included for personalization of grip length to fit capacity needs. A triple-position Picatinny rail allows for accessories to be adjusted to the shooter's hand position.
