The Colt LE901-16S is the perfect rifle for hunting medium to large-sized game animals. The 16.1" chrome-lined fully-floated barrel and one-piece monolithic upper receiver with Troy BUIS ensure exceptional accuracy. Keeping the varmint hunter in mind, the 308 Winchester upper receiver group can be easily swapped out for any Mil-Spec Colt upper receiver chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. The LE901-16S features a bayonet lug, flash hider, and ambidextrous controls (including magazine release, bolt catch, and reversible safety selector). This rifle ships with the 5.56 lower receiver conversion kit which includes a 5.56 conversion manual and the magazine well adapter block, buffer, and spring needed to mount a Mil-Spec 5.56 Colt upper receiver to the LE901-16S lower receiver.
