The P308 semi-automatic rifle has a gas piston operated, rotating bolt (short stroke system) with a 3-position gas system for normal, suppressed, and bolt-action operating modes. It is chambered for 7.62 NATO/.308 Winchester with a 14.5" barrel, 1.5" muzzle brake and POF's M-Rail handguard. The upper is a 2-piece A3 flattop upper receiver of billet machined 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum alloy. It has an oversized heat-sink barrel nut, heat treated gas plug, chromed piston, an integrally keyed, nickel-plated 8620 steel bolt carrier (billet machined), heat treated/plated per Mil-Spec, NP3 coated roller cam pin, chrome-plated bolt, heat-treated to Mil-Spec and a black anodized charging handle. The barrel is made of 4150 Mil-B-11595 chrome-moly-vanadium alloy (machine gun rated) with a heavy contour, fluting and hand-lapped button twisted rifling. The black nitride treatment leaves the 5R polygonal barrel corrosion-resistant, 10x thicker and harder than standard chrome lining. It features POF-USA's M-Rail MRR, free-floating handguard, monolithic top rail system. The M-Rail, utilizes interchangeable top, bottom, and side handguard rail sections. The P308 has a 10+1 capactity.
