The FLIR Vampire is built using a, proprietary CORE (Ceramic Optical Ruggedized Engine) image tube, which includes double the resolution of Gen 1 devices. It provides flatter, clearer night vision images. The CORE platform offers "best in class" resolution with 60 70 lp/mm, and increased photocathode sensitivity levels of upwards of 400 m/lm, providing image quality even in challenging ambient light conditions. The Vampire has multicoated all-glass lenses and a manually-adjustable fine reticle that makes precise shot placement incredibly easy. The body of the unit is made from solid aluminum and is O-ring is sealed with rubber coating for further protection. The Vampire is nitrogen-treated and comes complete with batteries, a soft carrying case, and all necessary hardware for solid mounting. It comes with an IR850-XLR detachable long-range infrared illuminator and is water and fog-resistant. This model has a black finish and a 3x magnification.
